⚙️ PHASE A – OIL PHASE (dissolve actives)
- Vegetable / carrier oil1–2 tsp (MCT oil, jojoba oil, or fractionated coconut oil)
- PEA (Palmitoylethanolamide)contents of capsules (powder)
- Quercetin + Luteolincapsule powder contents (or finely crushed tablets)
- Omega‑3 oil (EPA/DHA)a few drops (if using liquid / triglyceride form)
🔗 PHASE B – EMULSIFIER
- Polysorbate 80 (Tween 80) or sucrose estera few drops (available online / cosmetic supply)
💧 PHASE C – CONTINUOUS GLYCERIN PHASE
- Glycerin (vegetable glycerin)at least 50% of final volume (e.g., 2–3 tbsp)
🥄 STEP‑BY‑STEP MIXING METHOD
- Prepare the oil phase – In a small glass beaker or mixing bowl, combine the vegetable oil with the powder contents from your PEA, quercetin and luteolin capsules. Add the omega‑3 oil. Stir thoroughly to dissolve/suspend the powders.
- Add the emulsifier – Add a few drops of Polysorbate 80 to the oil mixture and stir well.
- Combine with glycerin – Add the oil‑emulsifier mixture to a larger amount of glycerin. Aim for a ratio where glycerin is the majority component (e.g., 2 parts glycerin : 1 part oil mixture).
- High‑shear mixing (critical step) – Using a high‑speed mixer (small electric milk frother, immersion blender, or high‑speed stirrer), mix at high speed for several minutes. This creates nanometer‑sized droplets and produces a stable nanoemulsion.
- Final product – The resulting emulsion should appear milky, smooth and homogenous. Transfer to a clean, sterile glass jar or airless pump bottle.
🧴 Why this works – The oil‑in‑glycerin nanoemulsion acts as a penetration enhancer, carrying PEA, flavonoids and omega‑3s through the stratum corneum. Glycerin forms the continuous phase while nanometer droplets deliver actives to mast cells in the dermis.
⚠️ Always patch test – Apply a small amount to your inner arm 24 hours before using on larger areas.
🔬 Stability – Add a drop of vitamin E oil (mixed tocopherols) to the oil phase to prevent omega‑3 oxidation. Store in a cool, dark place.
🚫 External use only – This formulation is designed for topical application. Do not ingest.
🧹 Hygiene – Use clean utensils and a sterile container. The oil‑in‑glycerin emulsion is self‑preserving, but basic cleanliness extends shelf life.
📦 SUGGESTED USE & EXPECTED EFFECT
- ApplicationThin layer on clean skin (areas prone to welts, histamine flares, or local mast cell activation)
- Frequency1–2 times daily, or as needed
- Onset of effectMast cell stabilization usually builds over 1–2 weeks of regular use
- Key benefitBypasses GABAergic CNS effects; targets skin mast cells directly
